The Players

The emotional appeal, beautiful sound and a strong communication skill are the essential qualities that characterize this exceptional duo. The artistic cooperation among Barbara and Achille began, almost by any chance, in 2001 on the occasion of a concert-series in Rome. From the first notes played together they understood immediately that special feeling and decided to continue their collaboration and became more and more intense. Their musical personalities, result of a long and intense job, characterise them, and they become part in an artistical and cultural contest strongly influenced by instrumental schools of great tradition which they attended when very young. They come to the international teaching of Vadim Brodsky, Fausto Zadra, Zinaida Gilels, Aldo Ciccolini. They have performed like soloist and chamber musicians in the most important musical centers in Italy (Roma, Milano, Perugia, Siena, Padova, Venezia, Napoli, Ferrara, Cesena, Como…) and in international festivals like Bratislava, Rotterdam, Istanbul, Praga, Zagabria, Valencia playing in prestigious concert halls as the Schauspielhaus Berlin, Staatsoper Dresden, Conservatorio P.I. Ciakovsky of Mosca, Gemmente Theatre and Concert Hall “de Doelen” in Rotterdam, Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall and Symphony Hall to Istanbul, Teatro Comunale of Ferrara, StateZaal of Dordrecht receiving everywhere warm acclaims from the audience and the press. The recordings for Fonit Cetra, Dynamic, BMG and Phoenix Classics have received flattering appreciation from international specialized magazines like Diapason Revue, CD Classica, Gramophone Magazine, Note net, American Record Guide. To confirm the relevance of their musical career Barbara and Achille have been awarded respectively with the prize “UmbriaRoma” 2007 and the “Paul Harris Fellowship Award” 2009
